Meitler Cattle has been in the family for five generations. August Meitler homesteaded in this area in the 1880's. His son Fred and Grandson Armin Meitler had farmed and raised cattle in this area of north central Kansas for many years. Armin started in the Registered Hereford business in 1932. Armin's son, Gene Meitler continued the line breeding legacy at Meitler Cattle. He passed away in 2020 leaving son's, Darris and Clint Meitler to carry on the traditions of Kansas Cattlemen.
Home of Superior Registered Hereford and Angus Cattle. No other herd in America produces cows like these. No where else can you find this line one "Maternal Core" in the Hereford breed. With depth of pedigree that can and do reproduce themselves consistently. "We found this genetic core 30 years ago. We didn't throw it out with the trash and chase the end of the rainbow.
